Just last year, the national poverty rate rose to include 13.2% of the population. 1 in 7 people were at risk of suffering from hunger in the United States. In addition, 3.5 million people were forced to sleep in parks, under bridges, in shelter or cars....
If the government of the United States of America really cared about the health and well-being of its population...Why wouldn't they address this first. 1 in 7 Go Hungry!!!! But don't worry, don't worry, the government is now giving us free health care...Which we know is not true. The tax payers are subsidizing the Affordable Health Care Act....Its not Free. I for one would rather my dollars (How much have been wasted on advertising for the AHCA?) go to feed the hungry people. But that is just me...maybe you really believe that not having health-care insurance is the reason our nation is so sick...maybe you don't understand that clean water, shelter, warmth, and a balanced diet has done more to ease human suffering than anything else.
I do not agree with the AHCA....I believe that our valuable...and scarce resources...like money...should be spent on sheltering, feeding, and helping those in need. Call me crazy, but a child needs food more than it needs medication.
