My thought of the day stems from the movie The Matrix. Now I don't know which one, or if I am going to quote it perfectly, so please correct me if I am wrong.
In one movie, I think the first, Mr. Smith, the robot trying to stop Neo, brought up a point about the Matrix. He said that originally the robots made a perfect world for the humans where everything was wonderful and happy and everyone was treated right, but they had to change it because too many humans would wake up, knowing it wasn't real.
My thought: Would we really wake up more if we were in a type of heaven? Are we so ingrained in self loathing that we need a dysfunctional world, as the movie suggests? I would like to think, no, no we wouldn't. Take a dream for example. Are you more likely to "wake" up when you are in a nightmare or a wonderful dream where everything seems to be going your way? (The worst is when you are trapped in a nightmare)
What are your thoughts: If you were to "create" a fake world to keep humans placated, do you think it would be best to create the world as it is today? Or do you think that humans could easily stay in a heaven? Do you think that is why we are in the mess we are today? Is it because we need to feel despair in order to function as a whole?
That's all I have for you today folks. Have a great morning and day!! XOXOX Elicia.
