So let us put all the implications aside and assume, for argument, that only your date of death is predetermined, and everyone has the right to choose to know. Would you? I would, at least I think I would, yet...If today I said to the universe, okay, let me know...and they told me: next Friday at 8 pm...I would probably wish that I didn't know. In a way, the only real answer for me, if I am to be honest with myself, is to know if and only if the date is in a far away future, where I have lived a very long life.
In a way, I suppose, take accidents out of the equation, we can possibly work toward the goal of a long (and healthy) Life, if we are so motivated.
What about you? Why or Why Not?
