"Consider for a moment the amazing and wonderful diversity of human beings: in thought, ambition, imagination and creativity…
Why would certain people want to reduce so many unique individuals to a point where they can easily fit into a uniform and homogeneous group? " (Question asked by Brett Veinotte).
Once you answer the question...It starts to become clear.
One: the embedded lesson in public educational system is Conformity. This is what Alexander Inglis called "Integrating Function"....And who is benefiting? The student? No. There is a growing gap between the rich and poor. There is an increase in suicide. There is an increase of Medication of all types. America is sick, fat, and tired. The list goes on and on.
So who is benefiting off this conformity? You must answer it for yourself.
What is the solution: That is for the family to decide. Once you are ready to look inside the school system and really see what is happening, you must, as a family, make a change. It could be as simple as signing a child up for art and music lessons. It could be having a family read time. It could be a walk in the park with your children every day and talking about fantastical things. It could be anything. The real solution lies inside each one of us. So smile...There is hope, as G.I. Joe said: "Knowing is half the battle." (Gen X reference)
